Juvenile Diversion
Mission Statement
The Livingston
County Juvenile Diversion Program focuses on diverting youth
from the juvenile justice system. This program realizes that
many youth are more appropriately served outside the court
system. It seeks to provide positive alternatives to court
involvement, helps avoid the negative labeling that often
accompanies court adjudication, and saves court resources for
more serious offenders.
Made Possible By
Cooperation
from the County Commissioners, Juvenile Court, Prosecutor’s
Office, and Sheriff’s Department is paramount for the success of
this program. Funding is provided by a grant from the State
Child Welfare Fund through Livingston County Probate Court and a
one time administrative fee of $75.00 charged to each youth.
